trademark red hair, nothing about
Georgette Mosbacher says subtle.
Then again, subtle isn’t typically the
characteristic that propels someone
from a small town in the Midwest to the position of
president, CEO and chairwoman of Borghese, the
world-famous, high-end cosmetics company.

Mosbacher forged her own path and says that
any failure she encountered was a detour, not an end.
Mosbacher, who insists it’s every woman’s right
not to reveal her age, cut her business teeth at
Indiana University. The twist is that she wasn’t a
business major, but rather a student working three
jobs to pay for classes. “It was that or I didn’t go to
school,” she explains.
