That’s the same approach that Costco’s fresh food delis take in making Kirkland Signature™ chicken noodle soup. The soup is prepared daily using the delicious rotisserie chickens that are cooked fresh in the delis.

One of the most popular items at Costco is rotisserie chickens—in fact, members bought some 30 million of them last year. Costco’s deli managers asked: Why not use this tasty chicken in other dishes, such as chicken noodle soup?

“We’re very excited about this new program, because now we can use our premium rotisserie chickens to make the perfect comfort food: chicken noodle soup,” says Shawn McEnerney, a Costco foods buyer. “This is a tasty, hearty soup. It’s also a significant value. Kirkland Signature chicken noodle soup costs about 20 percent less than comparable soup featured in grocery stores. A 60-ounce container will feed about four hungry people as a main meal or six people as a side course.
