Chicken soup

CLEVER COOKS, SUCH as mothers, know
how to take ingredients from one meal and
make them into tasty meals for the next day.
That’s the same approach that Costco’s
fresh food delis take in making Kirkland
Signature™ chicken noodle soup. The soup is
prepared daily using the delicious rotisserie
chickens that are cooked fresh in the delis.
One of the most popular items at Costco
is rotisserie chickens—in fact, members
bought some 30 million of them last year.
Costco’s deli managers asked: Why not use
this tasty chicken in other dishes, such as
chicken noodle soup?
“We’re very excited about this new program, because now we can use our premium
rotisserie chickens to make the perfect comfort food: chicken noodle soup,” says Shawn
McEnerney, a Costco foods buyer. “This is a
tasty, hearty soup. And we don’t scrimp on
the chicken. Each 60-ounce container has 20
percent protein of high-quality rotisserie
FRANCE FREEMAN
chicken breast meat.”
It’s also a significant value. Kirkland
Signature chicken noodle soup costs about
20 percent less than comparable soup featured in grocery stores. A 60-ounce container
will feed about four hungry people as a main
meal or six people as a side course.
Kirkland Signature chicken noodle soup
can be heated up quickly in the microwave or
on the stovetop for an easy-to-make meal.
Costco’s Kirkland Signature chicken noodle soup is “souperior” to canned varieties.
Try it with a salad made from Costco’s easy-to-use salad mix or, my favorite, a grilled
cheese sandwich.
Rotisserie chicken is also used in
Kirkland Signature rotisserie chicken salad
and Kirkland Signature burritos.
