NO. While a national primary would be
better than our current hodgepodge drawn-out process of selecting a leader, it would
have significant faults—most notably it would
favor moneyed candidates. A better option
might be to have four smaller states—one
from each geographic region—on the front
end serving the role that Iowa and New
Hampshire play now. These four “retail politics” states might change with each election
cycle as well

a primary here, things have already pretty
much been decided. Talk about feeling disenfranchised.

We must tell your readers that if they
have any doubt at all as to the Costco Concierge Service ( The Costco Connection, December 2007), we are proof that this service is

Instead, there should be a series of regional
primaries with an approximately equal number of votes. Our present system gives power
to states with small numbers of votes, and the
media amplifies those results, which are a tiny
percentage of the overall votes, denying credible candidates an opportunity to compete.

YES. There should be a national primary. As
it stands right now, the interests that are best
served are the TV networks’. There is a fortune
spent on TV ads. Although a lot of people like
to watch arguments, I surely don’t and I doubt
that I am the only one who feels this way.
