Honey Sesame Pork Chops
Farmland/Smithfield

MARINADE
2 tablespoons plus 2
teaspoons light soy sauce
1 garlic clove, crushed
2 teaspoons dry sherry
1 tablespoon plus 1
teaspoon honey
1/8 teaspoon five-
spice powder
3/4 teaspoon toasted
sesame oil
3/4 teaspoon sesame seeds
8 Farmland/Smithfield*
center-cut pork rib
chops, trimmed
To prepare the marinade, combine all ingredients in a
bowl and stir thoroughly.
Place pork chops in a shallow dish and add the marinade.
Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Place pork chops on a wire rack over a baking dish. Bake
for about 35 minutes, brushing with marinade occasionally,
or until tender (internal temperature should be 145°F).

Slaw with Toasted Sesame Seeds
Smithfield/Farmer’s
3 carrots, shredded
1 small head Napa
cabbage, shredded
1 bunch green onions,
thinly sliced
1/4 cup coarsely chopped
fresh cilantro leaves
2 tablespoons fresh
lemon juice
1 tablespoon white-wine vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon toasted
sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon hot
pepper sauce
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup crisp-cooked and
finely diced Kirkland
Signature* center
cut bacon
1/4 cup toasted
sesame seeds
In a large bowl, combine carrots, cabbage, green
onions and cilantro.
Combine all remaining ingredients except sesame
seeds in a small bowl and whisk until blended.
Add dressing to the cabbage mixture and toss to coat.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Makes 4 servings.
