It would be a waste of space to be the only intelligent life forms in the universe. I hope if there are others, they are doing a much better job than we are.

AS SCI-FI FANS, UFO watchers and some

scientists will tell you, the probability that

we’re the only intelligent species in the

universe is unimaginable. Credible studies

of the past 30 years have pointed to the

likely existence of countless intelligent

species scattered throughout the cosmos,

they add. However, some experts in the

fields of astronomy, biology, chemistry and

physics argue that the likelihood of intelli-

gent life evolving on other worlds is slim at

best. If it were out there, they say, we’d

know by now. What do you think?

If the universe is as old as scientists say it is, intelligent life would most likely be more advanced than we are and would have contacted us by now.
