LAILA ALI’S BOUNDLESS energy isn’t surprising
when you consider her DNA. The youngest child
of retired boxer and three-time world heavyweight
champion Muhammad Ali and former model
Veronica Porsche Anderson, Ali is a champion
athlete in her own right, and a passionate advocate
for promoting healthy lifestyles among children
and their families.
“Childhood obesity is a huge problem in our
country and can lead to health conditions includ-
ing high cholesterol, diabetes and high blood pressure,” says Ali, a Costco member. “As a busy wife
and mom, I know how challenging it is for parents
to ensure their kids eat healthy meals and get regular exercise.”
She adds, “I think most families want to be
healthy, but we all lead busy lives and it can seem
easier to grab fast food for dinner. Instead of turning on the television after dinner, take a walk with
