Grilled Steakhouse Sliders
8 slices Kirkland Signature bacon
1/2 cup Italian-seasoned dry
1/4 cup Kirkland Signature milk
1 1/2 pounds Kirkland Signature
1 teaspoon table salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
8 small rolls or buns
Fry bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp, about 8 minutes. Transfer to
a paper-towel-lined plate. Spoon 3 tablespoons of bacon fat from the skillet into a
heatproof bowl and place in the refrigerator.
Place bread crumbs in a small bowl, add milk and let the mixture sit until saturated,
about 5 minutes. Mash the bread crumbs and milk until a smooth paste forms.
Crumble beef into a medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper, then add bread
crumb paste and the reserved bacon fat. Using a fork or your hands, knead the meat
so that the ingredients are well mixed. Divide into 8 equal patties.
Preheat the grill to medium.
Grill the patties for 2-4 minutes, then flip and grill the other side for about 3 minutes
for medium or 4 minutes for well-done.
Serve with your favorite buns and condiments, topped with bacon if desired.
Makes 4 servings.
Note: The bacon grease can cause grill flare-ups. Have a squirt bottle on hand to
douse any flames.
