High on re-fi
We’d just about given up on refinancing
(local lenders were apathetic or costs were
too high) when we saw an ad in The Costco
Connection for the Costco Mortgage & Refinancing Program. After 50 years of home ownership, we have refinanced many times and this
was far and away the most pleasurable, painless
and efficient refinancing experience we have
ever had. Everything was done online, though
the lender was only a phone call away, and the
notary came to the house when it was time to
sign the final docs. We got a terrific rate, lowered our monthly payment by hundreds of dollars and can’t give the program less than a
10-star rating! Thanks, Costco, for making this
program available to members!

Banana bread conundrum
I was reading through the April 2012
Costco Connection and there was a Dialogue
letter that mentioned a Salted Peanut ’n’
Caramel Banana Bread recipe.
Could you please tell me exactly where
the recipe is?

You can find the recipe online at www.
costcoconnection.com. Click on the “back
issues” tab and go to the February 2012 issue.
The recipe is on page 69. If you want to print
the recipe, use the print button on the top of
the page, not your browser print button.—Ed.

ALL PRODUCTS advertised are carried
at Costco warehouses unless otherwise
noted; however, products may not be
available in all warehouse locations.
■ Products are scheduled to be available
during The Connection’s month of
publication and are noted as in warehouse “early in month” (1st to 10th),
“mid-month” (11th to 21st) or “late in
month” (22nd to 31st).
■ All ads indicate whether a product
is available in the warehouse, on
Costco.com or both.
■ Prices are usually not listed in the
advertising because they have not been
finalized at the time of printing and may
vary from one part of the country to
another due to shipping costs. We hope
that members know to check Costco
first when comparison shopping.
■ To keep prices low, Costco does
not offer a telephone service allowing
members to call in for prices or
product availability.
■ Shop early in the month for best
selection on seasonal items.
■
Costco.com carries few of the products
available at the warehouses, but offers
3,500 additional items, including line
extensions and supplemental products.
