business has employees? Yes, as long as your

Tips to protect credit
cards when you travel
TAKING EXTRA precautions before traveling on vacation can help to protect your
credit cards and your credit. Costco’s identity protection provider, Identity Guard®,
shared these tips for travel safety.
Take only what you need
The more credit cards you carry, the more at
risk you may be if you lose your wallet or
purse. Limit the number of credit cards to
two—one primary and one backup.
Rely on cash or credit
Using a debit card may be a way to avoid
taking on debt, but debit cards may not provide the same level of fraud protection as
your credit cards. Make a point of learning
what protection exists with each type of
card, and travel with the card that offers the
best fraud protection.
Notify credit card companies
of your travel plans
By informing credit card companies of your
travel plans, you can avoid having your
account frozen or funds denied because of
the appearance that your card has been
compromised. If vacationing overseas, alert
the credit card companies at least one week
in advance.
