Watermarks are invisible signals embedded in a printed page that can be read by an
app in a mobile device and translated into
streamed multimedia content such as a video
or slide show. The technology is just taking off
in the publishing world, with many other
magazines employing watermarks, including
House Beautiful, Lucky, Seventeen, Brides,
Martha Stewart Weddings, Southern Living,
Time, Good Housekeeping, Sports Illustrated,
Cooking Light and Redbook.
