AS MANY COSTCO members know,
household chores can sometimes be a
grind. The Fulkerson home is no exception. Last week, behind on laundry and
in a rush, I took advantage of an unexpected free moment and flew downstairs
with an armload of laundry. Without a
pause, I was able to use my free hand to
grab a Kirkland Signature™ Ultra Clean
Laundry Detergent pac, place everything
in the washing machine and start the
load. No measuring, no mess!
As a buyer, I look for quality products at a significant value for our members. As a consumer, I also appreciate
ease and convenience. This is especially
true with the Kirkland Signature pacs.
These pacs provide the same great
performance as Kirkland Signature Ultra
and Free & Clear Liquid Laundry detergents. They include a patented “catch
and release” polymer that effectively
isolates and removes dirt and stains for
whiter whites and brighter colors.
If you’ve used the pacs before,
you’ll notice we’ve increased the
container size to 120 pacs, reducing the
cost to 14 cents per load: a minimum
31 percent savings over the leading
national brand. Although the container
is child-resistant with a locking lid, it’s
still a good idea to keep all cleaning
products out of the reach of children.
And in regard to quality and value,
you don’t need to take my word for it;
a leading consumer magazine recently
rated Kirkland Signature Ultra Clean
Laundry Detergent Pacs as No. 1 in the

THESE DAYS, WITH busy schedules, many
people skip the time-honored ritual of spring-cleaning: scrubbing the house from top to
bottom to get rid of the dust and dirt that
build up each winter. But it’s important.
Spring-cleaning can be good for your health
as well as leave your home sparkling clean.
“Spring-cleaning removes the layer of
dust and grime that harbors fungal spores,
dust mites and other allergens,” says Donna
Duberg, assistant professor of clinical laboratory science at Saint Louis University and a
cleaning expert. “While it helps everyone’s
health, getting rid of the ;rst layer of dirt, dust
and oil can help prevent respiratory distress in
people with respiratory disorders.”
And, by using a few timesaving techniques, you can have a dust-free house without
spending days spring-cleaning. Author Leslie
Reichert, known as “;e Cleaning Coach”
( www.greencleaningcoach.com), gives the
following tips for simplifying spring-cleaning.
The Costco Connection
Costco and Costco.com carry a wide
variety of cleaning supplies, including
cleaners, disinfectants, microfiber cloths,
wipes, gloves, sponges, dusters, brooms,
mops, steam mops and more.
