Sam Stephens is Quaker’s new Creative
Oatmeal O;cer. Her passion for oatmeal
and highlighting its many tasty possibilities
has become her life’s work.
Sam discovered her true love for
oatmeal in her first year of college —
Post-college, while working in
investment banking on Wall Street,
the city’s expansive restaurant scene
inspired Sam to take her passion for
oatmeal to the next level. She began
by taking courses at NYU’s School of
Continuing and Professional Studies in Food
Writing, and also in Business Management.
In 2010, Sam graduated from The French
Culinary Institute’s Pastry Arts Program.
More than a decade after discovering the
amazing side of oatmeal, Sam opened her
dream restaurant: OatMeals at 120 W.
Third St. in New York City's Greenwich
Village. OatMeals is renowned for original
and unique recipes, and for providing a
modern twist to the breakfast staple that
has revolutionized the way we think about
Sam’s passion and creativity, coupled with
her appreciation of oatmeal’s many benefits,
is exactly why Quaker named her Creative
Oatmeal O;cer in 2013. Together, the two
will help inspire oat lovers everywhere to
try new and delicious oatmeal creations —
the options are endless.
