I was pleased that the “Spring training”
article [March 2015] provided cleaning tips,
not baseball updates. Tip No. 6 extolling the
virtues of vinegar was my favorite. For years, I
have wondered how to rid the coffee cups of
those dark stains. It was so fun to watch them
disappear like magic with very little effort.

Heart in the right place
I wanted to take a moment to say that I
loved hearing Barbara Cooper’s story [“She
hearts you,” Member Connection, February
2015]. I wanted to make sure you know that
reading your magazine and seeing the positive
stories is a good change from what we see in
the news and in other publications.

I always enjoy reading The Costco
Connection. In the February 2015 issue, on
page 75 in the paragraph about the movie
Birdman, the last sentence states that Michael
Keaton has won several awards, “including an
Academy Award and a Golden Globe this year
for best actor.” Unfortunately, Michael Keaton
has never won an Academy Award.
A good “turn”

for a best actor Academy Award, but did not
win. That honor went to Eddie Redmayne for
his role in The Theory of Everything.—Ed.
Great piece on a little-known subject
[“Turn of the screw,” February 2015]. I used it
in my shop class. I learned some new facts too.

In response to the
policies a good idea?”
Debate goes on
NO. I believe it would be misused and that
employees would end up suffering. The
employer still has to run a successful business.
But I strongly believe companies should have
better vacation policies.
YES. As someone who worked at a company
that had unlimited vacation, it worked great. It
is not tracked and everyone on the team considered the workload. No one abused the privilege.
Wild about Wild
Bouquets to Nancy Mills on this excellent
write-up [“Women gone Wild,” March 2015].
When adversity knocks at the doors many lose
their mental sanity. But that was not the case
with Cheryl Strayed. For her, adversity was a
real challenge in life. And she won.
Thanks for the informative March 2015
article about measles: “Measles awareness.”
This disease is not common in America, but
seems to be making a comeback since the Have something to say?
