Gift cards and the launch of

AT THE BEGINNING of this year I vowed to
make 2016 my “year of adventure.” Adventure
means many di;erent things to di;erent people: new foods, a new vacation spot, trying
out a new hobby or class, or even being a
tourist in your own town.

adventure” into my gi; giving. ;anks to the wide
array of gi; card choices at Costco, available
both in the warehouse and at Costco.com, I
completed my holiday shopping within hours,
including the purchase of gi; bags and tags.
I also found many treasures at the recently
Costcotickets.com (see sidebar for
details of this exciting new program). I purchased concert tickets (Andrea Bocelli) for
my mother-in-law, NBA tickets for my
brother and his kids, and Harlem Globetrotters
tickets for me and my family. Check, check

basis, thanks to the savings the gi; cards provide. From vegetarian and international cuisine to pizza and steaks, Costco members can
satisfy their cravings at more than 750 restaurants throughout the U.S.
“You have a 20 percent savings right o;

from Costco,” says Mike Dorpat, food and
sundries buyer for Costco.com. “What a
great reason to try new restaurants in your
local area. Costco has the best value out there
in regard to restaurant gi; cards, both at
Costco.com and in the warehouse.”
Catching a great movie
Do you have a movie bu; in the family?
You can’t go wrong with purchasing movie
tickets at a discounted price through
Costco; they are redeemable at
theater chains across the U.S.,
including AMC and Regal,

buck, Kristin Engen, Costco tickets buyer, rec-

during peak times.
Go City Cards
Since my dad and his girlfriend will be
going to Hawaii soon, I purchased a Go City
Card for them at Costco.com. City Cards
