2 tablespoons cherry liqueur
1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups fresh cherries, stemmed and pitted
¼ cup grated dark chocolate, about 1½ ounces
¼ cup sliced almonds, toasted
In a small shallow bowl, soak ladyfingers in cherry liqueur.
In the bowl of a stand mixer or in a large bowl with a
hand mixer, whip heavy cream with sugar and vanilla
until soft peaks form.
Crumble ladyfingers into small pieces and divide among
four 8-ounce dessert glasses. Into each glass, spoon 1
layer of cherries and 1 layer of whipped cream. Repeat.
Finish with chocolate and almonds. Refrigerate for 1 hour
and serve cold. Makes 4 servings.
