GRILLED STRIP STEAK WITH
GARLIC HERB BUTTER
2 strip steaks, 1½ inches thick
Kosher salt and black pepper
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 thyme sprigs, leaves removed and chopped
4 tablespoons unsalted butter,
at room temperature
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Preheat grill to 550 F. Remove steaks from refrigerator
and let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Pat dry, brush both sides with olive oil and season
well with salt and pepper.
Place steaks on grill, cooking 3-4 minutes. Flip steaks
and cook another 3-4 minutes or until a meat
thermometer shows an internal temperature of
145 F at thickest part. Remove from grill and allow
steaks to rest 5 minutes.
Put garlic, thyme, butter and Worcestershire in
a small microwaveable dish. Heat to melt butter.
Season to taste with salt and pepper. Pour over steaks.
