GRILLED TARANTINO ITALIAN SAUSAGE
WITH PASTA AND VEGETABLES
Tarantino Gourmet Sausages
5 Tarantino Mild Italian Sausage Links
1 large red bell pepper, stemmed, cored and cut lengthwise
1 large green bell pepper, stemmed, cored and cut lengthwise
4 Roma tomatoes, cut lengthwise into quarters
¾ cup Italian dressing, divided
2 cups uncooked penne pasta
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Preheat grill to 325 F or medium heat. Place large pot of well-
salted water on high and bring to a boil.
Place sausage links on grill, turning occasionally, without piercing. Brush bell peppers and tomatoes with 2 tablespoons Italian
dressing. Add peppers and tomatoes to grill, turning frequently
until crisp and tender. Remove sausage links once fully cooked
(a minimum internal temperature of 165 F).
Cook pasta as directed on package and drain. Cut sausage into
½-inch slices. Chop bell peppers and tomatoes into 1½-inch
pieces. In a large bowl, toss cooked pasta, sausage, bell peppers,
tomatoes and remaining dressing together. Sprinkle with basil
and Parmesan cheese. Served hot or chilled. Makes 5 servings.
