Kirkland Signature Trail Mix Brownies
Imagine gooey chocolate brownies topped with large
Virginia peanuts, roasted nonpareil supreme almonds,
Thompson natural seedless raisins, M&M’s, roasted
cashews and thick caramel. Talk about a winning salty-and-sweet combination!
1 package brownie mix
3 cups Kirkland Signature Trail Mix
50 light-colored caramels
1/3 cup evaporated milk
6 ounces chocolate chips
4. In a heavy medium-sized saucepan, combine caramels
and evaporated milk. Warm over low heat, stirring
occasionally, until melted.
5. Remove brownies from the oven and pour half of the melted
caramel on top, spreading evenly. Sprinkle the chocolate chips
over the caramel and let melt slightly. Add the remaining trail
mix and press lightly. If desired, drizzle on more melted
caramel sauce to hold the trail mix on the brownies.
6. When cool, cut the brownies into squares, cover and
transport in the pan to prevent drying. Serve on a disposable
platter and stand back while the guests devour them.
Makes 24 brownies.
