MARLBOROUGH, NEW ZEALAND
Marlborough experienced a very warm and dry growing season that extended from late summer and Autumn until early April. During March, the cool nights that typify Marlborough began to set in, helping retain and intensify the acids and flavors this region is known for. The heat accumulation during the summer months meant ripening was ahead of the normal window, and harvest commenced a week earlier than usual. This resulted in a big proportion of vineyards being harvested early, all enjoying high levels of ripeness and quality achieved. April rainfalls put pressure on the vineyards when harvested later, showing that timely harvest decisions make all the difference. This Kirkland Signature Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is grown and produced at Ti Point Vineyards. This vineyard is nurtured by three generations of women in, wine, Tracy Haslam, her mother and grandmother.
