2011 Kirkland Signature Ti Point
Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc
Region
What is it that makes the wines of Marlborough so distinctively exquisite? As with
any of the great winemaking regions of the world, the answer lies in the synergy of
climate and soil to express a unique terroir. Marlborough lies in the northeastern corner of New Zealand’s South Island. It is bounded by the Pacific Ocean to the east and
towering mountain ranges in the hinterlands to the north and south. A broad, alluvial
plain stretches from the coastline, gradually rising and forming narrow valleys with
favorable northerly aspects.
Food and wine pairing
The 2011 Kirkland Signature Ti Point Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc would pair
deliciously with a salmon, avocado and asparagus salad with orange vinaigrette. Or, try
it with mussels, prawns or scallops, prepared simply on a grill or in a light cream sauce.
