An elegant and richly fruity wine with soft gentle tannins balanced
by black cherry and black currant flavors. The spicy oak and cedar
box and perfumed aromas lift and accentuate the burst of refined
fruit on the finish. The Napa Valley fruit has a defined sense of
harmony and finesse which is dominated by Merlot and supported
by Cabernet.

Napa Valley, California is recognized as the top vineyard region in
the ‘New World’ for production of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The 2006 vintage is relatively small displaying finesse much akin to
the 2001. Temperatures rarely exceeded 90 degrees, and evenings
were cool. The big heat spike this year was in July. That is perfect for
Merlot based wines and accentuates their sweet perfumed notes.
