Item 514007
Production: 30,000 cases
Tasting Notes:
2008 Kirkland Signature Sonoma County Chardonnay is sleek with vibrant ripe honeysuckle, spicy
pear notes, and concentrated opulent tropical pineapple fruit notes. The body of this Chardonnay
builds in intensity with a consistent thread of crisp vibrant acidity and a rich creamy complex edge
from oak as ripe apple flavors expand on the textured finish. Sonoma has long cool growing seasons
with consistent sun to build complex flavors. Drink now through 2011.
Sonoma County Appellation:
This Kirkland Signature Chardonnay was produced from grapes
sourced from some of the top vineyard sites throughout
California’s Sonoma County. Sonoma is one of the premier locations in the world for producing Chardonnay. The vineyards for
this Kirkland Signature wine were chosen from a variety of sub
appellations, Russian River for cool high acid citrus lemon
flavored grapes, Dry Creek developing the rich creamy tropical
fruit character from a warm climate, and Alexander Valley with
notes of Bartlett pear, ripe apple and fig.
