Brut Champagne

Production: 19,468 cases
Tasting Notes:
This high-quality Kirkland Signature Champagne is a result of careful blending and aging of several vintages
and reserve wines from Village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards. The classic blend is Chardonnay
with brisk green apple and grapefruit notes, Pinot Noir which provides depth and concentration, and Pinot
Meunier which displays some silky red fruit notes of strawberry and red cherries. Long bottle aging on the
lees has added a toasty bread yeast and caramel component to the Champagne. peach, gingerbread notes
thread through the rich texture and linger on the long finish. Drink now through 2013.
Champagne, France:
Champagne is the world’s most celebrated wine. No wine, by law,
can use the name Champagne on the label unless it is produced in the
geographical region of Champagne, using the grapes of the classified
regions, and is produced by the world-famous “Champagne Method”.
Kirkland Signature was awarded the use of the name Champagne in
October of 2005. Since that time the Kirkland Signature Brut
Champagne has constantly received high scores for value, quality and
price from the Wine Spectator Magazine. Kirkland Signature Brut
Champagne is a blend of still wines from Sezanne, Verzenay, Mesnil
Sur Oger, and Ay. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle
and it is matured on the lees for three years before degorgement and
the Brut dosage is added. This long bottle age adds to the refined
character of the Champagne and increases the complexity as well.
