Marlborough is located in the northeastern corner of New Zealand’s South Island. It is one of New
Zealand’s sunniest and driest areas. Between the mountainous western and southern areas is the long,
straight valley of the Wairau River, which broadens to wide plains at its eastern end. This region
has fertile soil, temperate weather and the most extensive plantings of vines. The 2011 vintage in
Marlborough experienced favorable growing conditions, with a perfect fruit set and adequate rainfall.
Warm summer weather ensured an on-time harvest with March being sunny and dry.
The 2011 Kirkland Signature Marlborough Sauvignon
Blanc is deliciously refreshing with attractive mineral
notes. Its inviting grapefruit and lemongrass nose – and a
palate of sweet passion fruit, mango and honeydew melon
– flow harmoniously to a mouthwatering finish. Drink now
through 2014.
