Vineyards and Vintages:
Carneros was established as an American Viticultural Area in 1983, and is famous for its
unique climate in the Sonoma and Napa Valley wine regions. The San Pablo Bay brings
in a cool breeze and a daily fog that create ideal conditions for Pinot Noir vineyards.
Although the 2010 vintage in Carneros and throughout California was tumultuous for
vintners, the cool spring and summer resulted in a long growing season, allowing this
Kirkland Signature Carneros Pinot Noir to develop into a superb wine with rich flavors
and a lifting acidity.
Tasting Notes:
OREGON
IDAHO
The 2010 Kirkland Signature Carneros Pinot Noir
reflects the high quality of this low-yielding, cool
vintage. Elegant aromas of black cherry and ripe
strawberry combine with mocha, as well as the red
fruit flavors of raspberry and Bing cherry. The
maturation in small, French oak barrels adds notes of
spice and sweet vanilla to create an intense, lush Pinot
Noir. Drink now through 2014.
