Ti Point Vineyard lies on 148 acres of plantings on the sunny, southern side of Wairau Valley.
This is a classic Marlborough vineyard site of stony soils and overlying silts. With its north-facing
orientation, the fruit captures the sun’s heat during the crucial ripening period.
The 2010 Marlborough vintage has come up trumps with intensely flavored Sauvignon Blanc. The
tanks were brimming with vibrant wines that will hold Marlborough’s position as one of the great
wine regions of the world. Lower yields intensified flavors, and the overall cooler season meant
varietal intensity was ensured. The long, dry autumn allowed a steady airflow without stress points
from rain events, creating a luxury vintage for grape growers and winemakers alike.
This Kirkland Signature Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is
noteworthy for its generous, rich citrus and mineral aromas.
Sweet lemon and ripe, red apple notes give the wine a heady lift,
while gooseberry and grapefruit flavors provide a rounded base.
A lovely, soft initial palate offers hints of sweetness with notes
of lemon meringue and mandarin peel, while zesty acidity gives
length and structure. Enjoy now through 2013.
