Who is eligible?

years of age and be current card-carrying members of Costco Wholesale.

Costco Wholesale employees are not eligible to enter the member contest. There is a separate contest for Costco Wholesale employees.

How many photos can I enter? Every person who has a current Costco Wholesale membership card may enter one photo.

A separate contest is held for Costco employees and their immediate families. Costco Wholesale employees may enter one photo for themselves or one photo for someone in their immediate family (i.e., spouse or domestic partner or child age 18 years or older) in the Costco Wholesale employee photo contest. Costco Wholesale employees are not eligible to enter the member photo contest.

Are professional photographers allowed to enter the competition? Yes. All current Costco Wholesale members are eligible to enter.

Am I allowed to digitally alter
my photographs?
Yes. However, no special consideration
will be given for technical difficulty.
All photos will be judged by the same
standards.

How and when will the winners
be notified?
Once the winning photos have been
selected, the winners will be notified by
mail. The winning member photos will
be printed in the February or March 2010
Costco Connection, and the winning
employee photos will be printed in the
January/February 2010 Costco Today.

Will my photo be returned? Once you have entered the photo it becomes the property of Costco Wholesale and will not be returned.

Do I need to resize my photo
to enter online?
There is no need to resize your photo for
online submission. If you wish to crop
your photo for compositional reasons,
that is recommended, but please stay
within the 4" x 6" size requirements.

Are only international
photos eligible?
While this is an international compe-
tition, the theme is “Give Us Your Best
Shot.” That “shot” could be taken any-
where, including your kitchen. The
judges are simply looking for the best
you have to offer.
