Hot Pop Pies

1 14.1-ounce package refrigerated
pie dough ( 2 crusts)
18 ounces deli sliced meat and cheese,
plus ¼ cup mustard (from a 5-pound
Kirkland Signature Meat and Cheese
Platter with Spicy Brown Mustard)
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Roll 1 piece of the dough into an 11-inch square. Cut into 6 rectangles, slicing
the dough once crosswise and twice at equal intervals in the opposite direction.
Beat egg with 1 teaspoon water in a small bowl. Lightly brush along all edges
of the rectangles.
Place 3 ounces of meat and cheese along the center of 3 of the dough rectangles,
leaving ½ inch free around the edges. Top with the remaining 3 rectangles.
Egg-wash the sides together. Seal the edges using the tines of a fork. Place
on a large ungreased baking sheet.
Repeat with the remaining dough, meat and cheese.
Brush the tops lightly with the remaining egg wash. Do not pierce the dough.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
Serve with mustard and/or other prepared dipping sauces such as Thousand
Island dressing or marinara sauce. Makes 6 servings.
