Having very good credit is important when
buying a house. It will likely affect the interest
rate of your mortgage as well as the ease of finding a lender.
A credit score is a number between 300 and
850, with the national average at about 675. This
score reflects how likely someone is to pay back
loans on time. A high score (720 or higher) indicates a history of handling debt responsibly by
making payments on time and not overextending
