Sweet and Spicy Mixed Nuts

Silpat or parchment paper
4 tablespoons corn syrup
4 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon Chinese
1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
Up to 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed
2 cups Kirkland Signature Extra
Fancy Mixed Nuts
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a cookie sheet with Silpat or greased parchment paper.
In a bowl, combine corn syrup, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne, five-spice
powder, cumin and enough orange juice to blend; the mixture will be thick. Add
nuts, mixing gently to coat.
Spread the nuts on the prepared cookie sheet.
Bake for 5 minutes; then stir to coat. Bake 10 minutes longer, or until bubbly.
Immediately turn the nuts onto a sheet of parchment paper, as the coating
hardens quickly. Keep turning and separating until the nuts no longer stick to
the parchment or each other; the nuts should be cooled individually, not clumped
together. Makes 6-8 servings.
