CLUTCHING YOUR TICKET, you move into
your seat. What will it be tonight—a popular
Broadway or touring show, an NBA game,
professional bull riding or Cirque du Soleil?
Those are examples of the variety of
attractions Costco members can explore via
the online Event Tickets service, providing
advance and last-minute discount tickets for
select entertainment across the country.
Since launching in 2005, Event Tickets has
continued to grow and expand, all the while
experimenting with different mixes of entertainment. “We continue to look at partnering
with large event producers and ticketing companies that can offer our members a great
value and have the same customer-service phi-losophies as Costco,” says Gayle MacDonnell-Brask, Costco Services manager.

VALUEWEB HAS MADE it simple for Costco

The service is scalable to meet your needs.
Maybe you’re the hands-on type, eager to find
your own solutions with the free design software. Or perhaps you want the ValueWeb
team to do the design work for you, to your
specifications. They can accommodate either
approach.
New to the program is an expanded gallery of more than 3,000 Web site templates.
Whatever your business, you’re sure to find
examples to mix and match to suit your needs.
Included are informational and e-commerce
Web sites, with an A-to-Z category list that will
appeal to most business operators—pet shops,
dating services, barber shops, florists, jewelers,
law firms, wedding planners, musicians and
many others. Web design packages start at
$375 for Costco members.
After the design process, the monthly
hosting fees are a real Costco value. Executive
Members pay $14.95 plus a one-time $10
setup fee. Business and Gold Star members
pay $17.95 plus a one-time $20 setup fee.

Payroll service
adds new perk
THE FEATURES OF Intuit’s cost-effective
online payroll program keep getting better.
Last summer they added features that allow
employers to pay federal and select state payroll
taxes electronically. Now they’ve added features
that allow employers to file federal and select
state payroll tax returns electronically as well.
That eliminates the need to provide printing
and postage for 940, 941, 944 and W- 2 forms—
now all available to file electronically.
Other elements of the full-service online
program include calculating earnings and
deductions, printing paychecks and paying
employees using direct deposit. All of these
features cost less than $20 per month.
