Pound Cake French Toast
Dawn Food Products
Butter or cooking spray
Parchment paper
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
¾- 1 cup chocolate-hazelnut spread
such as Nutella
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 bananas, sliced
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Maple syrup
1 Kirkland Signature pound cake,
cut into 12 slices
Heat a griddle to medium-high. Lightly coat with butter or cooking spray. In a shallow
bowl, beat eggs. Add milk, cinnamon and vanilla; stir until well blended. Dip pound
cake slices in the egg mixture. Cook on the hot griddle until golden brown.
Form a cone out of parchment paper and cut a ;⁄;-inch opening in the tip.
Put Nutella in the cone and squeeze over the French toast. Alternatively,
warm the Nutella and drizzle over the French toast with a spoon.
Top the French toast with banana slices and drizzle with maple syrup.
Serve hot. Makes 6 servings.
Tip: Sliced banana nut mu;ns can be substituted for the pound cake.
