A few well-chosen Halloween decorations can really help to create the right atmosphere in a room. Try to make your rooms as
spooky as possible by dimming the lights and
hanging accessories such as spider webs and
glow-in-the-dark objects from the ceiling to
completely transform your home.

management company Magenta in Connecticut
(www.magentaspecialevents.com). She recommends setting up something to get guests in the
Halloween mood straightaway.
“Create a scary entryway, something that
will wow guests as soon as they walk through
the door and make them smile or laugh
before they even get into the party. Sound
effects such as lightning or scary laughter can
make it even more effective,” she says.

To create excitement and interest among
guests, invite friends to a themed Halloween
event. Theme inspiration can be taken from
anything; for children a good starting point
could be a magical storybook, while for adults
ghoulish movies might serve well.

Fun for everyone
When it comes to Halloween, fun and
games really can be enjoyed by guests of all
ages, and party planners suggest the following
favorites to get everyone involved.
Apple bobbing. Simply fill a large tub
with water and float plenty of apples in it,
then let guests try to catch them just using
their teeth. It’s an age-old game but should be
a surefire favorite, especially with children.
Just make sure there are plenty of towels on
hand to dry wet faces.
Costume contests. Invite guests to be
creative with their costumes and then let
