IF YOU’RE LIKE me, you consider owning a vehicle a privilege and a joy. Our cars take us to and from work, and they also get us and our loved ones to all the places we need and want to go—from soccer games to
remote campsites. However, cars take a good bit of management. They
can be stressful to purchase, and keeping them on the road requires fuel,
fluids, insurance and maintenance.
That’s why a Costco membership is such a boon to motorists.
With very few exceptions, Costco can save you time and money on
your automotive needs, from bumper to bumper.
The Costco Auto Program (see page 31 for details), for instance, elimi-
nates sales pressure, streamlines the purchase process and takes the
hassle out of buying a car through low, pre-negotiated prices at partici-
pating dealerships. Protecting that investment requires insurance.
Costco’s 13-year partnership with Ameriprise Auto & Home Insurance
has helped members save hundreds of dollars on auto insurance (also
see page 31).
Keeping the car fueled and running well is another concern, and again
Costco has members covered. Costco’s everyday low gas prices (see page
34) helps at the pump, and the Costco Auto Program offers a 15 percent
discount on parts and service at participating dealers, taking some of the
sting out of repairs and ensuring that your car is running safely.
