Driving value
“It really is awesome,” says Morgan. “It’s
easy to use and has saved us a lot of money. It’s
one of those Costco services that, once you
know about it, you’ll use it all the time. There
is no question that we’re going to use this ser-
vice again and again.”
Costco Services manager Dan Martinez
explains that after printing the coupon from
the Costco website, members call the partici-
pating service center to set up an appointment
and get an estimate for the service, then pres-
ent the coupon and their Costco membership
card to the parts or service representative
when they bring their car in.
Costco member David Ferron Sr., who
has had vehicles serviced at local dealerships
through the program, says he saved money
when buying accessories and on repair services. Ferron, of Mason, Ohio, says that his
coupon was easy to obtain and use, and he
experienced no problems, reservations or
negativity from the participating automotive
service centers.
“They didn’t question the discount; they
enjoyed being part of the program,” says
Ferron, who has also purchased a vehicle
through the program.
The Costco Auto Program allows members to save an average $1,000 off the price of
purchasing new vehicles, Dan says. Members
can also use the program to purchase pre-owned vehicles and recreational vehicles,
including boats.
Costco member Andrew Larpenteur of
Federal Way, Washington, purchased a Mazda
Canyon Lake, Texas, learned from friends
that she could visit a dealership to have her
vehicles serviced and receive a discount with
a Costco coupon.
“My family has now used it multiple
times: once for major electrical work on my
husband’s Ford, and after my son’s Honda was
in a fender bender,” says Morgan.
The Costco Auto Program offers members a coupon good for a 15 percent discount
off parts, services and accessories at participating dealerships and automotive service
centers, through Costcoauto.com.
COSTCO CARES DEEPLY for the well-being and safety of our members, so it
delights me to introduce the Michelin
Premier All Season (A/S) as our newest
tire model.
The Premier A/S employs the newest
technologies to decrease overall stopping
distance in wet conditions. In tests,
Michelin found that even after use the tire
stops shorter than a leading competitor’s
brand-new tire.
Michelin’s EverGrip™ technology also
allows the tire to retain its grip over time.
As the tire wears, the rain grooves expand

to give continuous performance for the life
span of the tire. Additionally, 150 new
grooves appear after wear occurs to aid in
channeling water from under the tire. This
means that for the duration of the tire you
can feel more confident about stopping in
the rain.
Tests performed by Michelin show
that worn Premier A/S tires will still stop a
car length shorter in wet conditions than
competitors’ new tires. This is a serious
innovation that we’re proud to offer at our
Tire Centers. This brand-new product also
comes with Costco’s usual great value for
members: free Lifetime Maintenance
Services, including tire rotation and bal-
ancing, flat repairs, our road-hazard war-
ranty and lifetime inflation checks with
nitrogen filling. C
