Costco pharmacies frequently host clinics to check lung, heart or bone health.

Screenings are free of charge and include an assessment of the results as well as suggestions for prevention or treatment methods.

Events Special

CAP? CHECK. GOWN? Check. Cake? Graduation planning is not complete without a trip to Costco.

Baked and decorated in Costco bakeries, Kirkland Signature™ half-sheet cakes weigh more than 9 pounds and serve 48 people, for $18.99. White cakes are filled with 2 pounds of cream cheese mousse and iced with white buttercream; chocolate cakes are filled with 2 pounds of chocolate mousse and iced with chocolate buttercream icing. Graduation designs featuring a Belgian chocolate graduation cap can be personalized with an inscription and decorated in the school colors of choice when ordered ahead of time.

To place a special order, simply visit the cake kiosk in your Costco Bakery at least one day in advance and complete the cake order form; cakes can also be purchased directly out of the refrigerated case. Remember, these sheet cakes are perishable and must be refrigerated, but they can be frozen and then thawed in a refrigerator 24 hours before serving.

Grad announcements

The Costco Photo Center makes it easy for members to create graduation announcements. Visit Costco.com and click on “Photo.” Upload photos of your special graduate, select a design and personalize it with a special note.

Two high-quality card options are available. Photo cards printed on 6-x- 7½-inch one-sided photo paper, cost $14.99 per set of 50 and include white envelopes; they can be picked up at most warehouses the next day. Stationery cards printed on 5-x-7-inch, 120- pound smooth white card stock, with full-color digital premium printing available on both sides, cost $17.25 per set of 25 and include envelopes that can be blank or have a printed return address.

These can be picked up at a Costco location of your choice or mailed to your home.—Christina Guerrero
