THERE’S NOTHING MORE refreshing during the hot summer months than ice-cold lemonade that tastes homemade. “When we brought this on the market in 2013, we wanted to create a version that was a fine balance between tart and sweet,” says Costco buyer Kristen Hayes.

She says that Kirkland Signature™ Organic Lemonade, which comes in a two-pack of 96-ounce containers, is 18 percent lemon juice, whereas typical lemonade found in most grocery stores contains 5 to 10 percent lemon juice. That means that if you pour yourself a nice glass of our lemonade with ice, it will still taste great even if the ice melts and dilutes it a little.

The organic lemon juice comes from lemons grown on certified-organic farms in Spain, Italy, Argentina and Mexico. Kristen says Costco creates the product using only lemons picked during the winter months in their respective countries, as lemons picked during summer tend to be too sweet for Costco’s desired flavor profile. As a result, Kirkland Signature Organic Lemonade is the best-selling organic lemonade in the U.S.

Kirkland Signature Organic Lemonade is perfect for slushies and snow cones, and can be frozen as an ice pop, the perfect summer treat, or as ice cubes for cocktails. Kristen says, “It’s great mixed with iced tea to create a classic Arnold Palmer.” Add a splash of Kirkland Signature Vodka and you’ve got a refreshing summertime cocktail. (Item #736083)
