I WAS TOLD to drink more water by my doctor and my trainer. I noticed that when I keep
a container of water on my desk at work I
drink more throughout the day. I also noticed
that if I keep cold water readily available at
home, my family drinks less soda and other
sugary drinks to quench their thirst. We use
water in everything: freshly brewed hot and
iced coffee and tea, while cooking and don’t
forget freezing it into ice cubes, especially during hot summer months.
“Water, including bottled water, helps
people pursue a healthy lifestyle and avoid
sugar-sweetened beverage consumption,” says
Tamika Sims, International Bottled Water
Association (IBWA) director of science and
research. “Because 47 percent of added sugars
in our diets and 20 percent of our daily caloric
intake come from beverages, it is clear that
Americans need guidance on how to be more
aware of what they drink and to reduce their
calorie consumption from beverages.”
Based in Atlanta, DS Services is a leading
bottled drinking water direct-to-consumer
services provider selling bottled drinking
water products under various regional brand
names, including Alhambra, Belmont Springs,
Crystal Springs, Deep Rock, Hinckley Springs,
Kentwood Springs, Mount Olympus, Sierra
Springs and Sparkletts.
“DS Services makes it simple and conve-
nient to have bottled water delivered right to
your home or office,” says Dan Martinez,
Costco Services manager. “Millions across the
U.S. are already enjoying the high-quality bot-
tled water they deliver through their ongoing
and sensible service.”
DS Services meets the applicable U.S.
Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) regu-
lations for bottled water production. Multiple,
closely monitored processing steps at the DS
Services bottling plants are designed to ensure
that every container of drinking water meets
or exceeds these regulations.
DS Services, along with other international and U.S.-based bottlers, distributors
and suppliers of water, is a member of the
IBWA ( bottledwater.org), which was founded
in 1958 as the authoritative source of information about all types of bottled waters.
Working with the FDA, IBWA members must
adhere to the IBWA Bottled Water Code of
Practice, which mandates quality standards
and manufacturing practices that in some
cases are more stringent than federal and state
bottled water regulations.
“These agencies work together to ensure
you receive clean, safe, refreshing, great-tast-ing drinking water from our bottled water
delivery service partner,” Dan says.
DS Services has a plan that works for any
home or office at an affordable price.
“Despite its many uses, most people are

leery of ordering bottled water because they
think it will cost too much,” Dan says. “But
Costco members are eligible to receive bottled
water delivery service at an exceptional value.”

summer with plenty of refreshing, crisp bottled
water readily available for your business, family
