One of the country’s most in;uential political
journalists presents the three days between
Eisenhower’s prophetic “farewell address”
and his successor JFK’s inauguration as the
;nal mission of one of modern America’s
great leaders. Eisenhower intensely advised
the 43-year-old Kennedy in those three
days and beyond, hoping to prepare a new
generation for what was to come. Powerful
and enlightening, ;ree Days in January
sheds light on a little-known Eisenhower—an
under-appreciated giant of U.S. history.
