INSIDECOSTCO
SUSTAINABILITY IS an unwavering goal
at DS Services, Costco’s water-delivery service provider. So says Jim Goforth, Costco
Services manager, who oversees the service.
“In fact, one of their green initiatives is
delivered right to customers,” he says. “All
3- and 5-gallon water containers from DS
Services’ family of companies are reusable.”
Bottled water delivery
A sustainability story worth sharing
Goforth adds that after each use the
bottles are cleaned and sanitized, and they
can be refilled up to 50 times. “When these
bottles are no longer usable, they are recycled and used to make everything from
carpet and toys to bird feeders and tool
handles,” he says.
Safe drinking water is a key factor of
a healthy lifestyle. Depending on where
you live, the quality of your water
resources might be affected and you
should always have a supply on hand.
To help you understand the
importance of bottled water, DS
Services has put together this quiz.
