Our new look
o, what do you think? I’m referring to the
fresh new look we’re unveiling with this
month’s issue of the Costco Connection.
Change is always risky, but we’re excited to
take the leap because our goal for this major make-over is to serve you, our readers, in the best way that
we can.
The new design is meant to make our pages
easier to read (white space!), provide more precious
space for major stories and improve the overall navigation for smoother page-turning. Our biggest desire
is to publish an attractive, user-friendly magazine
that helps you get the most out of your Costco membership through stories and ads about our products,
services and much more.
The Connection started in ;;;; as a tabloid-style
newspaper; we still have a few yellowed copies of
those first issues in our archives. In ;;;;, the
Connection’s format was changed to a traditional
glossy magazine style. Over the years, the number of
pages per issue and the circulation have grown, and
our design team has occasionally repainted the
rooms. But we’ve never before undertaken such a
knock-down-some-walls remodel.
In this issue, we’re kicking off summer with lots
of recipes using Costco products, beginning with
burger ideas that will appeal to any imaginable taste
preference. Our special section focuses on health tips
you can use in the summer and beyond. And Buying
Smart offers ideas on how Costco can save you
money on one of life’s biggest events: a wedding.
You’ll also see some new features in our new
Connection, such as “This Month” on page ;; and a
new member poll on page ;;. Please let us know what
you think. Email us at
connection@costco.com.

A special thanks

Connection sta; for
their hard work on
this redesign, and
to our consultants

vision and guidance
on getting us to
step outside our
comfort zone.
