4 quarts water
2 tablespoons kosher salt
4 bay leaves
1 pound Seamazz U- 15 thawed raw shell-on shrimp
Prepared cocktail sauce
Mint leaves, for garnish
1. Cut 1 lemon in half and place in a large pot with the water, salt and
bay leaves. Bring to a steady boil.
2. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes. Shrimp is done when the meat is
opaque and firm to the touch.
3. Drain shrimp and run under cold water. Peel and devein. Rinse and store
shrimp in a covered dish in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Shrimp can
be prepared 24 hours in advance.
4. Cut the remaining lemon in wedges. Serve the shrimp with your favorite
cocktail sauce. Garnish with lemon wedges and mint leaves. Makes 4 servings.
